All of our instructors have very full schedules. Because of this their time is very valuable, and our lesson students are expected to adhere to our cancellation policy. We understand that you may not be able to make it to every lesson, but we expect you to communicate properly and follow our policies out of respect for our busy instructors. Exceptions maybe be made for extenuating circumstances.
STUDENT CANCELLATIONS: If you need to cancel your lesson, please contact us at the CEC Business Phone (512-818-5238) AT LEAST 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE. Cancellations received less than 24 hours before the time of the lesson cannot be accepted. These will be considered a "NO SHOW" and you will still be charged for your lesson. Please remember that even if you didn't show up for your lesson, your instructor still did. Your lesson horse and your lesson slot could have been used by someone else. Continual absences, no shows, and cancellations without communication will result in the loss of your lesson spot.
LATE ARRIVALS: If you arrive late to your scheduled lesson, your lesson will end at the regularly scheduled time. Students who are more than 15 minutes late to their lesson will be considered a "NO SHOW." They will not be allowed to ride, and the lesson will not be rescheduled. You will still be charged for your lesson.
WEATHER CANCELLATIONS: We reserve the right to cancel lessons at any time on behalf of the weather for the safety of our students, horses, and instructors. We will contact you with the phone number you have provided as soon as we know that lessons will be cancelled. Please make sure that we have your current contact information. And if you have any questions or concerns about weather cancellations please contact us at the CEC Business Phone (512-818-5238). Lessons cancelled because of weather will either be refunded or rescheduled.
PAYMENT: If your are scheduling monthly blocks of lessons, payment is due and excepted on the first scheduled lesson of the month. If you are not able to make that lesson for any reason, payment is still due and should be delivered to the barn or sent electronically. Lessons bought in monthly blocks must be used within 30 days of purchase. If you are paying per lesson, payment is due prior to the start of the lesson. If you have any questions about payment options or where to leave your payment, please contact us at the CEC Business Phone (512-818-5238).
VIDEO AND PICTURES DURING A LESSON: Clients and guardians should hold off on taking pictures or videos until the last 15 minutes of the lesson. Picture and Video taking is very distracting for both the student and the instructor. The instructor needs to be able to focus on the lesson for the first 45 minutes of the lesson to ensure the student has grasped the concepts.
STUDENT DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP FOR MINORS: Only legal guardians and emergency contacts are authorized to drop off or pick up students who are a minor. If the student will be picked up or dropped off by someone other than their legal guardian or emergency contact, the student’s legal guardian should notify CEC ahead of time via email or text/call via CEC’s business email or business phone.
